How I Lost A Lot Of Weight
2025-08-19
As I mentioned in a previous post, I lost 9.5 kg of weight. Here's how I did it, after years of struggling, crying and not getting any results.
Biohacking
Biohacking helped a lot. For years, I struggled, but was not efficient in my efforts. Measuring my health metrics made all the difference.
Every day, I measure my body composition: weight, fat %, metabolic age, etc. At night, I measure my sleep quality, deep sleep, REM sleep, resting heart rate, etc.
Mindset Change
This might sound cliche, but this is true. I stopped aiming to reduce weight as a primary goal. Rather, I aimed at overall health improvement. Fat loss came as a side effect. I focused on endurance, flexibility, longevity, etc.
I Found Running
I found an exercise which I enjoyed: running. Enrolling for a 3k run made a huge impact on my motivation. Then I went on to do 7k and 10k. I am now training for a half-marathon.
Generating huge amount of data, related to my running, sleeping, etc, helped a lot.
Once I started eating healthy, my urge to have junk and processed food reduced dramatically.
Conclusion
Now, I don't have to put in a lot of effort. I am actually enjoying the process of becoming healthy.
